About Pam

I actually started sewing when I was about three years old – as my mom made my clothes, I would sit with her and sew clothes for my dollies.  I have sewn on and off my entire life, yes including my first apron made in home economic  classes, somewhere I still have that apron!  I was first exposed to quilting when we lived with my grandparents – my grandfather made beautiful scrappy quilts.  Years went by and about 9 years ago we moved to Caldwell Ohio and I made friends with ladies who quilted – well I definitely got the bug – I joined the local quilt guild, Townsquare Quilt Lovers Guild in Caldwell Ohio; I have acquired priceless knowledge from these ladies who have been quilting for many years.  I am a part of our annual quilt show, as an exhibitor and vendor.  One of  the most famous members of our guild is Shirley Stutz who wrote a wonderful quilting book titled The Elegant Lone Star Quilt, a wonderful variation of the Lone Star pattern.  I have custom quilted several of these quilts. They are great for letting me turn on the creative juices when quilting.  Currently I supply a quilting service to my customers and in my spare time I make and quilt my own quilts in all sizes for sale.  Most of my quilts are more simple, modern patterns, very colorful, though sometimes I stray out of the box and make a quilt that is out of my normal style; I also make wholecloth quilts which I particularly love as they really show the quilting wonderfully.  I have designed several quilt piecing patterns and hope to have more in the future.  I also am in the process of creating patterns for curtain valances, pillow shams, bedskirts, and several cool covers for lap top computers, kindle fires, etc…   I strive to offer quilts and accessories that are unusual or unique in color & design.  I look forward to sharing my love of quilts with you!  Is there life besides quilting? – Let me think,  um, yes!  I also love being with family and friends; growing herbs – great for jams, relishes, teas and such; reading  – oh there is nothing like the smell of an old leather book – I enjoy the classics, poetry, and history.  I love to watch old sci fi “b” movies, listen to classical music including Pavoratti and Itzak Perlman; and last but not least, there is nothing better than sitting on the cliff at Pemaquid Lighthouse in Maine, when the 15 foot tide comes in with waves crashing against the rocks!

God Bless! Pam
